INTRODUCTION:

DEPOSITED is a digital archive (in loose terms) inspired by journaling and Q&A, captures the stories of individuals in their early 20s over the course of six months.

From October ‘24 through March ‘25, participants were asked the same set of questions each month. This record of time explores the shifts (or lack thereof) that take place during this period of transition, creating a collection of stories from strangers.

Through this collection of stories, the project aims to invite reflection — encouraging others to consider these same questions and provoke their own thoughts on personal change and growth.

BEFORE YOU CLICK TO VIEW STORIES (GUIDE):

YELLOW RECTANGLES = CONSISTENCY

(there HASN’T been a shift in the answer from the prev. month(s) ; there’s consistency!)
PINK RECTANGLES = CHANGE

(there HAS been a shift in answer from the prev. month(s)! something has changed!)

WHY DEPOSITED (formally known as the 0.5 Project)?

DEPOSITED captures the act of placing something valuable into a shared space, much like the literal definition of a deposit: to put or set down something with the intention of leaving it safely. Each time someone reflects on their life through this project, they are depositing a piece of themselves — their thoughts, feelings, and lived experiences — into a collective archive. These personal entries accumulate over time, forming a layered record of growth and transformation.

DEPOSITED also hints at trust: you place something somewhere safe, expecting it to be held with care. This project aims to be that kind of space — an intentional place where change can be recorded, preserved, and revisited.

MISC NOTES:
Why a flower collage for each person?
As a small thank you to everyone who participated, I created a surprise flower collage representing each interviewee. The flowers were chosen based on their responses to one of the interview questions: “What is your current favorite flower?” to symbolize the growth and blooming that has taken place in their lives over the past six months.

Also, the website officially went live in May 2025, perfectly timed with the arrival of spring! 🏡💐

⚠️ this website is not finished! she is a work in progress. this is only a beginning, there will be many other areas to add onto:
1. add voice memos + more images as a part of the answers („• ֊ •„)੭
2. merch 😈
3. a bit more iphone friendly

shoutout to Gloria, Jackson, and Sean for the coding help!❤️
